Ensure a safe and joyous celebration by following these mandatory guidelines for handling Sivakasi firecrackers.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO (DOs)
- Store Carefully: Keep fireworks inside closed wooden boxes in a dry place.
- Wear Cotton: Light fireworks wearing tight-fitting cotton clothes; avoid synthetics.
- Emergency Kit: Always keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for quick extinguishing.
- Open Spaces: Fire crackers only in open gardens or public grounds.
- Supervise Kids: Keep children under close adult supervision at all times.
WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO (DONTs)
- Don't Relight: Never try to relight a cracker that has failed to explode.
- No Hand Lighting: Never ignite sparklers or repeaters while holding them in your hand.
- No Pocket Storage: Never carry crackers or sparklers in your pockets.
- Avoid Closed Places: Never ignite crackers near vehicles, window sills, or inside homes.
- Don't Throw: Never throw lit fireworks at people, animals, or properties.
